BET Music Matters Tour 2011 comes to Nashville on Wednesday, April 13th at Limelight (201 Woodland Street) featuring today’s hottest talent. This year we are privileged to have 3 Grammy Nominated singer/songwriters. On the 2011 tour, we have Marsha Ambrosius (formerly of the group Floetry), Melanie Fiona & Anthony David. Each artist has a new project in stores with the exception of Melanie Fiona (new project comes out July 2011).
Marsha has written songs for Alicia Keys to Dr. Dre to Michael Jackson. Anthony David is probably known for having worked with India.Arie early in his career. Not only was he part of the band, but he wrote and produced various songs for her including the Grammy nominated song “Part Of My Life”. Melanie is new to the scene but was nominated for a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 2010 and was nominated again this year for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: "Wake Up! Everybody" with John Legend, The Roots & Common. She is definitely one to watch.
Each artist will perform their classics as well as their new music in an intimate setting. This is a show you don’t want to miss and well worth it.
